Having your say takes two minutes.

We need as many people as possible to support Option 2 and make sure stormwater stays with Council, not a commercial water company.

You can make a submission in one of two ways:

Download the submission form, fill it in, and email it to feedback@wcc.govt.nz before midnight, 21 April 2025 - or fill out the online submission survey.

How to make a submission:

1. Download the Submission Form or fill out the Online Submission.

2. Enter your name, email and personal details

3. Fill in the form or online survey with these answers:

   • Choose: Option 2 – Wellington City Council sole ownership

   • Confidence level: Tick Fairly confident or Very confident

   • What matters most to you? Tick what matters most to you, such as:

     ☑️ Value for money

     ☑️ Environmental responsibility

     ☑️ Transparency

     ☑️ Financial sustainability

     ☑️ Legally compliant

4. Copy and paste this into the comment box - or use it as a starting point for your own message:

I support Option 2—a Wellington City-owned water company—but stormwater should remain under Council control and funded through rates. It involves complex environmental and urban planning issues that a commercial water company is not equipped to manage. Council is better placed to deliver outcomes that protect our city and environment.
